Area colleges notebook: TSU softball coming on strong

The Texas Southern softball team has proved that its breakout 2010 season was no fluke. The Tigers closed their Southwestern Athletic Conference regular season with a three-game sweep of Grambling State over the weekend, putting the finishing touches on their second straight Western Division championship. TSU (23-24, 14-3) dominated Grambling State, outscoring it 32-8.
