TCEQ issues new rules on Galveston Bay inflows

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality set new rules Wednesday that would preserve flows from two rivers to protect the health and productivity of Galveston Bay. But environmentalists, commercial fishermen and the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife warned that the rules do not provide the amount of fresh water the critter-rich bay needs.
